The Renew Card API allows you to issue the same PAN with a new Expiry and CVV2 in advance of expiration providing your Cardholders with a positive seamless journey. Existing card limits, usage and history will be linked to the Renewed card. If the expiration date has passed, the Renewal Card API can still be used. We recommend the existing card_id is not renewed when the status is either a risk or administrative until investigations are complete to avoid potential misuse.

Where the existing card_id status is either Lost, Stolen or Fraud, you will need to use the Replace Card API to create a new PAN, Expiry and CVV2.
